NEW AGE BKB IN THE U.S

Picture
When alot of the Bareknuckle Boxers from Europe in the late 19th century looked to find venues which were less prone to getting stopped by the local magistrates America was an obvious choice for them to travel to.  The resurgence of the sport over in the U.S.A has been due to the media coverage of a fighter by the name of Bobby Gunn .
The law regarding prizefighting is much more strict in  America than over in Europe ,  in some cities MMA and gloved boxing are even banned so trying to get BKB competitions going is really difficult. As well as being a Bareknuckle Boxer Bobby Gunn is also a Pro Boxer and  has competed at world class level. The way he and his team were able to hold legitimate  bouts  was to hold them on Indian reservation soil which are out of direct control in regards to the laws in the US. At the moment Bobby Gunn holds the world title. I dont want to rewrite old articles so im hoping for an interview of Bobby himself and the team around him.

A promo video from 2012 for the planned fight between Bobby and the Irish Bareknuckle star James Quinn McDonagh, and although it never materialised there is renewed interest in this bout taking place in 2013.
